Team headstrong will enter 2014 under 2 new teams, Greenville Velo (out of Greenville, SC) and Maddog83 (out of Tucson, Az).. It has been a great 4 years of racing, companionship, and community. We have accomplished some great things, but like all things, time moves on and so will we. See below for more details......

Headstrong Ladies Go 1,2,3 at Paris Mtn ITT

Incredible showing by Kristin Phillips 12:04, Kristen Weinacker 12:05, and Lara Shaw 12:38 who took the top 3 female times at Saturday's Paris Mountain ITT. KP and Goat improved over their previous times by about 30 seconds. The powerful trio were followed in by team mates Kristi Stratton (13:07), Debbie Gillespie (13:33) and Perry Seltz (14:35).

Another very strong showing by Team Headstrong.

Congratulations to all

So sorry to not be a better contributor today. I am absolutely so proud of the women on our team. You guys are so strong! Question, all you veterens, I am open to any advice to get better at warming-up. I want to do better at TT's, but I don't feel ready to go hard until after 60-90 minutes. Any suggestions?

IMHO.....Rule of thumb.... the shorter the race the longer the warmup..... It takes me 20-30 minutes for a good warm up. Everybody is different, but I always start with low HR spining, do some bigger gear standing (10-15 secs), spin, then stand or shift up and do short jumps.... Trick is to raise your HR without tiring yourself out.

Let's meet for a warmup at Donaldson and work on it.

I am really excited about Mt Mitchell and the FBC as these are where all this climbing capability will really payoff. Great job guys.
