ESPN missed but I didn't!

We are around the corner and strung out. The line of riders is moving from the yellow line to the right edge of the road and everyone is jockying for position. Sam is in front of me and one bike seperates us. She is pushed off the road and into the grass......WOW! The asphalt lip is 3-4 inches high. She continues to pedal straight ahead in the grass for 75-100 meters, hops onto an industrial driveway and returns to the paceline without losing a single bike length. People are freaking out and amazed but not me. I know she is: The Mountain Bike Chic!

I LOVE IT!!! Those bike handling skills are really paying off. Sam, next time when you off road it, be sure to drop a bottle upright so on the next lap you can pick it up. Way to maintain composure and not lose your place in the pack.
