This is a good news/bad news story.
THE GOOD - Fun event and super results for TEAM headstrong!
THE BAD - I will be spending some time at Paris Mt this week and it won't be climbing to improve my poor TT Time. Unthinking, I offended some of the residents with the paint on the road. I owe them and the race promotor, Nicole Bossie Johnson, an apology. So, I am going to get it cleaned up.
Don't know if any residents ever read this but if you do: I apologize for painting the road and I will get it corrected. Please do not hold Ms. Johnson or other cyclists responsible for this. We have a great cycling community and this should not reflect on the cycling community as it was the act of one person. Your mountain is treasure for those of us enjoy the sport of cycling. We should treat as such.
Sincerely
Randall Maddox

Congrats to Giselle, KP, Kristin.... you put the hurt on me...
AND congrats to Beth, Sam, Debbie, Randall, and Mel for putting in an awesome showing for Team Headstrong...
If I was not closing on my house in Atlanta... I would help Randall remove the paint.... can anyone lend a hand to keep him out of Jail......
OMG, Randall! I would not have thought the writing would be an issue either! I thought it was great as I was riding up the mountain. I guess this is a lesson learned, but don't let it get you down. I'll just snag some of Max's sidewalk chalk next time...
