I won't mention how hot it was (100°) during yesterday's Greenville Spinner's TT that my old teammates (Greenville Women's Cycling/BiLo) help put on. I will just mention how well Team Headstrong represented! We had six Headstrong members there. We all made the first page of the OVERALL results (which was a goal of mine in the past when I went to big stage races...simply to make it onto the first page of the "communique"). Results were incredible! In Masters 50+, Tom was 2nd, and Perry was 4th. In the Women's field, G was 1st, KP 3rd, Sam 4th, Brady 5th! Cristina Linday was 2nd in the Women, and Patrick Smith was 2nd in the Men's B(4/5), just to give kudos to some people that we are hoping to get to know a little better!
On a personal note, I surpassed a goal I set for this TT for myself. Teenie shared with me some very encouraging words she recieved from Jon, and then passed on more from herself. Without question, this team has been my motivation to get riding (hard) again! I am grateful!
